JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern
The exam conducting authority has released the exam pattern of JEE Main. But the exam pattern has not varied much from the previous edition. So here we bring you the pattern of JEE Main 2018 for your benefit. Candidates will have better chances to crack JEE Main if they will study by the complete JEE Main syllabus 2018.
Salient points of the Exam Pattern of JEE Main 2018
JEE Main comprises of two papers – Paper I (B.E./ B.Tech) and Paper II ( B.Arch/B. Planning). Candidates may opt for any of the two papers, or they may attend both. The salient points of the exam pattern for both the papers are given below:
Paper I
- The test will be of 3 hours duration
- The question paper of Paper I will include three sections of equal weightage: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics,
- The type of questions asked will be multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each question will be accompanied by four resoponses, out of which only one is correct
- For correct response will be awarded 4 marks, while every wrong answer will be penalised by ¼ (one fourth) marks
- The mode of exam can be either pen or paper OR computer based
Paper II
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours
- The paper will include three parts:
- Mathematics – Part I
- Aptitude Test – Part II
- Drawing Test – Part III
- Questions types include objective type questions in addition to questions that test the drawing aptitude of the candidate.
- Part 1 & 2 have negative marking with correct response will be awarded 4 marks, while every wrong answer will be penalised by ¼ (one fourth) marks
